Born a fifth generation Californian, Civil War, American Revolutionary War, Mayflower Surety and Magna Carta Surety descendant, Felix Etienne-Edouard Pfeifle rekindled his passion for Washington, DC during a visit the same week of the 2020 election–and decided then to move here. He left behind a life in Hollywood, CA with 20 years experience in architectural design and civic arts engagement. In the spring of 2022 Felix shifted his professional focus to freelance tours of the Washington, DC greater metropolitan area.

Felix Pfeifle achieved his B.A. in Humanities at UC Berkeley, cum laude. After graduation from Berkeley, Pfeifle was the recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship in Vienna, Austria for the study of aesthetics of the Habsburg Empire. Subsequently, he achieved his B.S. in Interior Architecture at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NY.

 

Felix has taught urban planning and architectural history at the New School for Social Research in New York City, which now nicely ties into guiding across Washington, DC. He speaks French and German

Christine Sessions Beebe’s grandfather, Fritz Sessions Beebe, served as Chairman of the Board of The Washington Post until his passing, a legacy that deeply ties Christine to Washington, D.C. She holds an MFA in Film Directing from CalArts and is an award-winning documentary filmmaker. Christine has served as a Development Executive at Lucasfilm, been nominated for a Producer’s Guild of America Award, and developed projects with visionaries such as Lawrence Kasdan, Ron Howard, and George Lucas. Her films have premiered at prestigious festivals around the world.

Before graduate school, Christine began her career at Global Exchange, leading international humanitarian delegations across Latin America. At US Capital Tours, she brings her global documentary filmmaking expertise to craft immersive, story-driven travel experiences, ensuring every journey leaves travelers with unforgettable memories.
